hi,

I discovered ZM a few weeks ago and it's working really well on my ubuntu 7.04.

So I want to use it in my company, but I'm not sure they allow me to use a Linux distribution. Do you know if it is possible to install it on windows ? I saw that ZM4MS is under windows, but if I understood, it doesn't replace a ZM server.

Thank you for your help

No you will need a linux box for zm. ZM4ms is purly a front end and you still need a zm box for it to talk to

Thanks !

I assume there is no way to compile ZM into windows (maybe problem of lib)? I'm sorry if my question is obvious, it isn't for me.

Thank you!

it may be possible but it would take a lot of work. I for one wouldnt even attempt it, you could try virtualising on windows, not the greatest platform but may get you round it. IP cams only though im guessing

I uses v4linux, and you would have to port that first. Perhaps your company would be more accepting to Linux if you got a distribution with support... For example, http://www.ubuntu.com/support/paid for Ubuntu.

ok, thanks !

that's what I thought, but being not sure, I wanted to have advice from experts.

I'll try to make them use ubuntu (maybe the LTS version).

thanks again !
