Some pre-install questions

Hi,

I recently installed ZoneMinder, and am very excited about getting started with it but I am very unfamiliar with bttv and video for linux.
I had an ati capture card with an older bt chipset, but am pretty sure its not supported. I have ordered a Hauppauge WinTV Go, since it looked like the cheapest board you recommend.
I was wondering if anyone could offer me some advice on the install of this card and the bttv drivers- or a good url for documentation? I have rather bad luck whenever I try to do anything with my kernel.
I should install version 0.7.106 of the bttv drivers?

I will also be reinstalling red hat 9 and ZoneMinder on a new 30 gig hard drive. Is there anything I should keep in mind while doing this? I won't likely use this server for anything but ZoneMinder.
Any special partitioning scheme?
Is there any filesystem I should try to use?

i use RD 7.3 i make a kickstart install that works with zm.. only need some perl modules if you want to send mail or x10 ftp upload..
