How to use ffmpeg efficiently ?

Hi,
I have installed and activated ffmpeg. Can I use ZM's monitor in IE6 to display ffmpeg real time stream? If I turn off cambozola I get pictures only, but if I turn cambozolla on I get cambozola's MJPEG.
So how can I stream MPEG2 or 4 with ffmpeg and display this with ZM's monitors?

Thank you,
Darko

Hmmm, I guess I missunderstood use of ffmpeg in ZM. It's only used to record video, not to stream video? Am I right or wrong. However is it possible to use ffmpeg with ZM to stream MPEG4 or some other low bandwidth suitable video codec ?

Hi,

At the moment you cannot use ffmpeg for streaming. However you may be able to work around and get something going by creating a loopback video device and streaming from there but you'd have to knock up something custom for that. I will do a bit of digging around and see if it's a possibility for the next release or two.

Cheers,

Phil,

Hi all,
I would just like to second the motion for video loopback support. I have found on my stand alone system, the browser (mozilla) places as much demand on resources as the capture, analysis, server processes. It would be nice to be able to use a lighter weight monitoring program (xawtv or similar) to watch the video stream. Just my 2 cents worth :)
