Splitting ZM into a Capture/Analyze front-end and a back-end

I was just wondering if ZM has the ability to split into a Front-End Capture and analyze engine and then have a Database/File storage on a back-end server.
Basically a clustered set-up. Then you could split large-CCTV set-ups over a few servers and still have one central-spot to come back to. Something like the ability to store zones/events in the cluster database, and all the source/function information in the head-end servers. You would loose the ability to do linked monitor's and alarms tho unless you had a daemon on the clustered server that scanned for alarms and coordinated linking.
Just wondering if anyone else has successfully attempted this. Thanks.
