I have this AOP-V8008A board (PCI) that came with a Windows software i has not tried because i do not use Microsoft Products.
I have used it on a ZM and Mandriva 2007 from Livecd but updated.
The board is recognized and can use 8 from video0(0) to Video7(0).
The problem is that i should be able to use Video?(1) too becuase it has 16 channels (2 for each saa7130 ) and as soon as i register on Zoneminder the second channel (Video?(1)) the main one stop working. (Marked red)

A picture and more info can be found on
http://www.bttv-gallery.de/
Just search on this page for V8008A.

More info on Google searching for AOP and V8008A.

I will appreciate any help.

I am using ZM on HD installed from Mandriva 2007 Livecd and has this card working using on "modprobe.conf"
options saa7134 card=4,4,4,4,4,4,4,4 tuner=4
but as soon as i declare on ZM a camera usnig /dev/video?(1) both /dev/video?(0) and (1) do not work. In other words, i can not use the second chanell on each chip.

I was wondering if i should pass a parameter to indicate to the saa7134 module that the card has 2 channels per chip? This is the first time i use a card with saa7134 chip and are confused about it.

I tried to attach a picture of the card but do not know how to do it.

Has anyone informations about this card or how to set properly a saa7130 based card?

Same Problem

I have the same card and the same problem. I don't know which card number I have to pass to modprobe to get this card working with the 16 cameras.

I have tried modprobe saa7134 card=10 and card=42, and only 8 cameras work... I got a mapped /dev/video0 to /dev/video7...

Anybody has a solution for it that can share with us ?

Thanks a lot !

I too had this card, and had the same problem. It also had bad video bleed whan all 8 chips were active. I never solved it, because the video bleed made it a problem anyway. Are you getting consistent clean signal?
