Streaming with swf at 2x scale or 640x480

I'm running FC6 on a 2.4GHz P4 with 1GB and a 200GB hard drive with a 4 port PV-143 card.

I've managed to get Zoneminder working with SWF streaming by compiling ffmpeg from the SVN trunk and Zonemider using Phil's latest 3-line patch to zm_mpeg.h.

I can see the SWF streams at 320x240, but cannot see the stream at 640x480. When I reduce my scale to 1/2, the video appears (shrunk appropriately). Setting the capture to 320x240 and scaling it to 2x does not work either. I just get the same blank screen with the events listed below. The Flash Player is loaded as I can right-click and get the "About Flash..." option. This works like this in Firefox. With IE7, I get just a still with no streaming or Flash Player loading.

I'm stuck and am bleary eyed from looking at all the forum posts, Wiki and FAQ without finding an answer. Any ideas? What should I be looking for in the logs, if anything?

On a related question, what got me to use swf in the first place was that I really do need to see the a large image on a 384K DSL. Using Cambozola with 320X240 and a 2X scale would have been fine, but I could never get Cambozola to work with a changed scale. The best I could do was get video for about a minute before it stopped updating. Changing the scale back to actual would restore video. I'm curious as to why this happens. It's moot if I can get swf streaming to work, but if someone knows the answer, please share it with me.

I've tried this with both the older version of Cambozola on the ZM site and the later versions with the same results. 640X480 at actual scale is large enough, but it really drives up server load to the point that the box needs to be rebooted every day or so.
