I am having an problem setting up Modect:-
I have three zones setup on one monitor all zones are set to the Best - Highest, I get a Alarm Status but the status does not seem to be cancelled and the event shows up without a ID number and No secs and No Frames reg. If I click on the 'event' there is no stream 'blank image' but if I click on stills if shows the stills up OK.

Buffer settings
Image Buffer 40
warmup 15
Pre event 10
Post Event 10
Alarm Frame 1

It seems as if the alarm is not closing the event, I have the score setting @ 50.
I have had this working but for the life of me I cannot work it out what I have changed to cause this?

Also can anyone explain the figure settings on the min/max zone area sensitivity.
Is this figure out of the total zone area? so if zone area is 100
Min 16 (16/100)
Thanks

Does it monitor correctly? Can you record an event with the record setting? (10 minutes is default) How about mocord?

As to the min/max... The min setting is how many pixels (or more) have to change to trigger an event. The max setting is the upper threshold. That is so that if a light comes on, changing all pixels, you don't trigger an event. Also usefull for video "jumps" from poor signal.

Many thanks Lee for your reply, thanks for explaining the 'min/max' I am slowly getting to grips with this great software.

I have resolved the issue with No Secs/No Frames/No Score - it was a db error, after running the db repair utils it works great ( There seems to have been a error in the stats database fields)

How do I repair the MySQL Database?

There is two ways to go about this. In most cases you can run from the command prompt ->

* mysqlcheck --all-databases --auto-repair -pyour_database_password -u your_databse_user
>sudo mysqlcheck --all-databases --auto-repair
