ZoneMinder for Office Security?

Hello,
My small business is currently moving office to a brand new office and I am investigating the viability in using ZoneMinder for office security.

I was thinking about setting up a security system with Zone Minder, 4x Sony SNC-M1 Video network cameras at points in the office.

Now, the issues I was interested in were an alarm system - As I understand, ZoneMinder can notify you under certain circumstances - I was wondering what can be done in this state.

I want to set up a rule that would sound a large alarm (what equipment could I set up to install this alarm) - and notify via sms/call myself and other employees that the office has been breached.

How viable is this solution? Or should I stick to using ZoneMinder for purely surveillance and install a seperate alarm system?

Thanks

Matt

Your going to want a separate alarm system, video alone can only detect change in pixels so anything can set it off. Door switches and PIR's are the only way to go for intrusion detection and video for evidence.

I use my sound card to play mp3 when a monitor alarms - works like a basic security system.
