am new to Linux and working my way thru ubuntu and all its tools. trying to add ZM but had no luck with all the tutorials. Is there a command to make it run from terminal? or get it to start at boot the only way to make it run? :shock:

Either by command line or via the web gui by clicking on the status.
You might want to have a look at the links I put together here that will teach you some of the linux basics. Also there are forums that are more spacific to the Distro that you might be using, like for example for Fedora that will provide to be useful and are easy to find via Google.

Hello, i am installing it on ubuntu Feisty using the alternate cd and installing the minimum packages possible, i have it running including with the xlib_shm app for viewing locally in real time. I have a guide almost done, with all the steps i had done, i will test it again and after that i will post it.

Go to /etc/inid.d/ look for zm if you find it run it, it will show the options, or you can look on the zm wiki for ubuntu, there is more info about this script on the pages for 6.04 and 6.10.
